A university games club with a target audience of uni students (girls, gays and theys), focused on creating a more accepting, cool and visually appealing games environment.

Brief

The client wanted personalised playing cards inspired by the group they play games with.

Solution

After chatting with them and getting to know everyone, I managed to capture the group’s fun, girlie pop vibe. I went with a simple colour palette of pink and turquoise to really bring out the playful and passionate energy of the group’s gaming sessions.

Each card has unique facial expressions that reflect each member’s personality, making the design even more personalised. Plus, I illustrated them with traits matching their court characters, giving a nod to classic playing cards while making each character easy to recognise.
